Every race that reaches the paddock opens a betting pool. You stake coins on the runner you think will hit the hub first. When the race is decided, the pool is shared out among everyone who backed the winner, in proportion to how much they staked — just like the Swedish trav (ATG) tote. The bank rakes 15 % off the top first; the winners split the rest.
Your winnings depend on the final pool, not the odds when you bet (just like a real tote board). After the bank's 15 % rake, the remaining 85 % is divided among the winning stakes: back a runner few others fancied and you collect more; pile onto the favourite with the crowd and you split the pot thinly. The odds you see live are this sum recomputed as money moves — an estimate that firms up as the race goes off.
Often you'll be the only one betting — a pool of one would just hand you your own coins back. So the bank guarantees fair odds (from each runner's chance) and tops up the shortfall a thin pool can't cover. Once other players join, the bank fades out and the race settles as a real player-vs-player tote — one player's win is another's loss.
Once a day at 17:30 the next big race becomes the GRAND PRIX — look for the gold card. The bank stuffs thousands of bonus coins into its pot (the +BANK BONUS figure on the card), which keeps payouts near fair odds no matter how big the crowd — and the winning bus pays its owner a double cut. The countdown chip in the paddock header ticks down to post; tap it for the day's numbers. On Sundays it's the SEASON FINALE, with double the usual boost.
Every week (Monday to Sunday) is a season. The gold board on the LEADERBOARD tab ranks coins won this week — old fortunes don't count, so everyone starts Monday level. The top 3 take permanent trophies (🥇🥈🥉 next to their name, forever) plus coin prizes of 5,000 / 2,500 / 1,000. Went bust? Every wallet that played the week is topped back up to 2,500 at the Monday rollover — you're never out of the game.
There's a finite fleet of collectible buses, sized after the real SL lines. Win bets to afford one: an unowned bus is priced by its line — busy lines whose buses actually win bet-heavy races cost more, quiet lines are cheap speculative buys (prices re-tune daily from what each line really earns its owners; everything starts owned by SL). Open the GARAGE tab, tap any bus to see its form and buy it — or tap a line badge in the paddock, the live races or on the map to jump straight to that bus.
When a bus you own wins a race that drew bets, you take a cut of that pool — paid out of the bank's rake, never from the punters' winnings. The cut starts at 15 % for a fresh owner and fades with holding time down to an 8 % floor (the excess halves every two weeks). Selling resets it to 15 % for the buyer — so a faded bus is worth more to someone else than to you. Watch the FRESH / FADING / STALE tag in the garage: stale means it's time to deal. The suggested price on every bus tracks what it actually earns (≈25 days of its recent cuts) — buy at value, harvest the fresh weeks, sell at value. And if you'd rather keep a beloved bus: long tenure earns veteran stars (★ two weeks · ★★ a month · ★★★ a season) — the yield fades, the prestige only grows.
Make a bus yours: give it a name (50 coins), a colour (500) and an emoji from cheap to wildly expensive. Your emoji and colour then ride with it on the map and in every table. Want someone else's bus? Make an offer — the owner gets a notification and can accept or decline. Sell yours the same way; the colour, emoji and name go with it.
No login. You start with 2500 coins. The balance is kept on the server and tied to your device, so clearing your browser won't reset a blown bankroll — and you can't cheat coins in. Get your stake back if your runner is disqualified (its GPS drops out mid-race) or the race can't be decided.
Every settled bet counts toward your net profit on the LEADERBOARD. Give yourself a name there so the field knows who beat them. The STATS tab shows the season in numbers, and each bus's full form guide lives in the Garage.
